Can't preview new listings before publishing ... anybody else?
Windows 11 / Chrome / Old Listing Form (no preview function in new form)
Cleared cache, tried different browser (Edge), tried on app ... nothing works!
You are probably leaving out required information. Look for a brown shade triangle with an exclamation mark in it, then scroll up on the draft page and see if Esty has highlighted any area for you. When I can't preview or publish a page, it means I left something out.
I thought previewing drafts wasn't up and running on the new Etsy app. yet. Maybe that's the problem.
@BeachPleaseCreations I am not using the app ... I'm using a laptop.
@PinkCoyoteJewelry There's no required info left out because I can publish with no issues ... I just can't preview beforehand.
I meant the newest version for listing an item. If you click on the preview button it says coming soon. They don't have a saved draft button anymore. If you don't publish it, it is still saved as a draft.
I had no problems an hour or so ago on Firefox.
Sounds like the new listing page? I have heard about a lot of trouble starting a listing from scratch on that. I always copy a listing and work from there and admittedly I will continue to use the old listing page till they claw it from my hand.
@PinkBirdCottage I am using the old listing page on a laptop ... creating from both copied & scratch ... something is awry!
I'm using the old listing page also. I'm on a Mac, and the same has been happening to me for about a week now.
Also having the same issues. On a laptop, working in the old listing version . Would be hugely grateful to learn whether you managed to fix it. Best of luck.
@TBQSC I haven't been able to use the preview feature in YEARS. I'm on Mac/Desktop/Chrome. Old listing/new listing setup. Nothing matters. However, I've been plagued with bugs for the past two months. So I'll just add this ongoing one to the pile. **Sigh of frustration**
I don't see a Preview option when I'm in the new listing version (desktop, Chrome, W-11). But when I click to "switch to old version" the Preview option magically appears. And this is whether I'm making a new listing from scratch or copying existing. Oh well, in the end I get a new listing up & running one way or another.....
@whiteoaksocks yes I do see the "preview" option link when using the old listing form; however that link is not working (for me) anymore ... it's like a dummy button now (like it's been deactivated).
@LHJewelryBoutique I'm sorry to hear that! <sigh>
Keep in mind even if you were opted in, they haven't enabled the ability to "use on just a few things." Right now it only works on Etsy suggestions or whole shop!
@PinkBirdCottage you may have posted this within the wrong thread
Thank you! I did...oops
I have to switch to older version to see preview. So after I create a listing, I save as draft then I click on top of page where it says switch to old version, open draft and there is the preview we used to have. Hope it’s added to new app.
I think the latest Windows 11 update messed something up. After uninstalling & reinstalling Chrome extensions, everything is working well again now. Preview in old listing form works perfectly now.
<sigh> Here we are 3 weeks later with the same problem again ... can't preview drafts before publishing, just keep getting this same error "Uh oh! A stitch has gone awry. Please try again later."
ETSY PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
Just left a post on another page dated 2022!!!. I have the same problem. I completed my 1st listing today having save as draft, retrieved from draft, previewed and the published. I've just tried to do my 2nd listing using [copy and paste] from 1st listing [tags and some details] but I can't preview or save to draft. What is going on.... it's now 2023 surely Etsy should have sorted this out by now, by the way I'm using a Laptop
I've been having problems previewing draft listings for weeks.
I'm using the old version to create listings, Firefox, Windows 10.
Nothing is missing from the listings I'm creating - they publish ok - but if I try to review first, I just get the endless spinning circle whilst it tries to complete the task.
Is anyone else having this particular issue?
