After I get an order, I send pictures of shipping package to customer. Thus way they know what to look for in the mail, or, if it's lost, it may be easier found. However, I've been trying to send pix for about a month & all I get is this message, "Hmm. Something went wrong. Please try again."
Has there been a change that I missed?
I don't use the app, only a laptop.
Hmmm.
Have you logged in and out of Etsy and tried again? Maybe check to make sure something in the photo default settings didn't change?
Also maybe try restarting your laptop, if you haven't already tried all of those things.
One more, maybe try a different browser, like Safari instead of Chrome. Maybe it's the browser that changed?
Thank you! Tried all except checking photo default changes.
Make sure the pictures aren't too big (in terms of bytes) and are in a format that Etsy accepts.
Thank you! I'll double check.
Also, clear cache and browser history. I send my customer proofs every day with a png or jpg and sometimes a pdf.
Thanks!
i’ve been reading a lot of threads lately where sellers lost their star seller badge bec they didn’t reply to a message another seller sent after a purchase. every time you send a message like this to another seller, they must either mark it as spam or reply to it to preserve their ss standing.
just fyi, etsy already sends an email at time of purchase, an email at time of shipping, an email upon delivery, and at least one (maybe 2?) email review reminders. this is already excessive for a lot of people. i wouldn’t be happy to receive even more messages from a seller. if you feel this is important, maybe keep them for your own records? just something to think about…
I'm a seller, and a buyer. As a buyer, I would think it was weird to get a picture of the package. On the other hand, I might appreciate that picture if I happened to contact you to say that I hadn't received my package. I don't have any suggestions regarding the problem you're experiencing but maybe you should re-think the practice. I agree with DreamGreatDream's post up above.
