The calculated shipping costs that I put with every item are not working on new listing form. My sales are all being charged priority flat rate. I wish we could have the old listing form back. It was much better.
You may not have a shipping profile set up. Make one, call it "calculated shipping" or whatever you like, and then you should be fine. Choose that profile for all your listings and then you'll just need to enter the weight and measurements for each one - it will calculate for you using whichever services you select.
I think I am having a similar problem...
Long post, but Etsy said they haven't heard this problem before, so let them know if this has happened to you! This has not fully been resolved for me yet...any advice is appreciated
I have contacted Etsy's help desk twice in the last week. I created two new listings, and the calculated shipping was WAY off. For example, this item was about 2 lbs and would be ship in a box under 12 inches (9x9x3 to be exact). Having shipped similar items before, I know the shipping cost should be about $8.00 for delivery in my same state.. The calculated shipping cost was coming in at $33.59 (almost 3x the price of the item)! Then I noticed that all new listing I made in the past week had the same shipping costs, and the other, similar listings I created earlier were fine (showing 7.83 for in-state shipping).
The help desk wasn't able to help and said someone from tech would reach out to me via email. 10 days later and they have not. I changed those new listing to fixed shipping and took a stab at it, knowing that it will be way off in many cases. However, although I changed the shipping to fixed, it was still displaying the $33.59 (my fixed was $8.00). The help desk was able to help with that. I had to delete and recreate the listing, choosing "fixed rate" rather than changing from calculated to fixed. Again, they didn't know why it was happening, but said they would escalate to tech.
This morning, all of my items that had been using calculated rates (and were fine yesterday and when someone ordered last week), were now showing $25.75 for in state shipping (was $7.83 yesterday). I changed everything to fixed, but really think this needs addressed as soon as possible. So check your listings and contact ETSY (by phone is very easy) to let them know if you are having a similar problem...maybe this will get it firmly on their radar.
If you've had this experience and found a solution, please share!
It just started doing this on my listings today. They were right last week.
I checked a few of my listings and the shipping is what it should be (if I was shipping the item locally).
I just checked the shipping cost on your featured items. $20.75, $8, $14, $14 ... if that helps at all. I'm in California.
I am having this problems too (a/o November 7, 2024). It only just started today!! I rely on the shipping cost being published with my listing for my knowledge and the potential buyer. Please fix this.
@AVintageShopForYou Hi, As of earlier today, the OP noticed there is no shipping cost shown on anyone's listings. The area under the Description is blank. Admin ModFabio said they would be looking into it, but the problem still exists for everyone. So it sounds like what you are experiencing. Here is the Thead.

I’m having issues as well! Etsy is not charging the correct amount for calculated shipping! More often than not it’s undercharging even though I input the correct weight and measurements in the shipping information when I list my items . This has only been happening since the platform switch. Etsy has undercharged more than 8 times now. This is hurting my business
