Calculated shipping on the new form is way overcharging today. I am using the same Shipping Profile I have been using for ages, since before we were forced to use the new form, and it is overcharging by a bunch. When I first switched to the new form it was ok. On the products I added today, they are all over $20.00. Some are as high as $30.
For example, a 2lb 4oz box that is 12x4x4" going to New York zip code 10001 from Washington State zip 98844 is showing $ 24.75 for regular shipping. Pirateship shows $9.17 for USPS Ground Advantage Cubic and $13.17 for USPS Priority Mail, and UPS Ground Saver is only $8.45.
I had that problem of shipping rate double on something I sold. I went through with the sale and refunded the customer the overage. It doesn't look good to potential buyers though.
Try deleting that profile and add another. I think sometimes shipping profiles just get "corrupted".
This happens to me now and then and I refund the customer. Often they mention that in their review (in a good way).
Try adding more box sizes in your shipping profiles.
@romaarellano I have that box size in myyshipping profile.
Had the same issue. Had to move to flat rate shipping. For some reason I was thinking etsy might hold it against my shop if I keep refunding shipping overages. Not sure if they do but it seems like a bot might think its a negative thing instead of taking care of customers.
@After9Marbles Etsy doesn't care if you refund the overage, but it probably costs you a lot of potential sales when the customer goes to check out and the postage is 3 or 4 times what it should be. For every person who bothers to ask you if it is correct, another 90 will just back out of the sale.
this is happeming to me as well it is dbling the coast and there is no way to fix it - and you cant create a new one either wigh calculated prices
Has anyone figured out a fix for this? Calculated shipping is tripling the actual cost of priority mail. Please convo me as I have so many questions on calculated shipping. I have never used it, now forced to and it is destroying my shipping costs. Any help is greatly appreciated!
