Buyer's having issues finding private listing link lately

Hi- lately, when I create a custom listing and send it via messenger to the buyer, they cannot figure out where the link is.  I haven't had this happen much in the past.  Did something change?  Then I tell them to check on a computer and they can find it easier.  But some said they don't own a computer, so I need this to work on phone/apps.  On my end, I see the private listing link clearly in the message chain but they say theirs is hard to find or does not look like mine.  Is this a technical problem? I am worried I am losing orders bc people cannot find the listing I sent.

I had problems with private listings years ago and since then have just used regular listings and send the link to the buyer.

Every now and then a buyer will have trouble finding the listing. Because we've just discussed their custom request, I don't think I've ever lost a customer because of that. I doublecheck everything on my end and sometimes I've moved the listing to a shop section that only has a couple things in it so they can find it that way.

I do think there is sometimes a several minutes lag between publishing and the listing being visible to buyers. The kind of lag that goes with high internet traffic or Etsy being very busy on the back end.

@SewLovelybyKelly: There have been posts in this forum that some links (i.e. Share and Save) do not work properly in the app, but the links 'disappearing' within an Etsy Message seems like a severe glitch, perhaps a side effect of attempts to reduce scam Messages. Would be interesting to know if this affects the buyer app, the seller app, or both. As mentioned by others, the experience using a browser (even the device's mobile browser) is often considered superior to that of using the app.

I've just had my second customer who can't find their private listing. She said she saw it one minute and it disappeared the next. I've just copied and pasted the link to the listing, so I'll see if that works. If not, I guess I'll go back to creating custom public listings. My first customer was a repeat customer who had purchased from a private link before, so I trust that she knew what she was looking for.

Adding this to the thread so hopefully it gets Etsy's attention. I'll add that I am working from a desktop when I create my private listings. I've done so for years without any trouble until now!

The custom order button has been broken for over a year now, if not more.     It's extremely frustrating and I'm super disappointed because it was one of the few feature introductions that I thought benefitted sellers.      I've started just creating a standard custom listing and setting it up for the buyer.     You do have to pay the listing fee up front so if the buyer doesn't purchase within a reasonable timeframe, you'll want to reappropriate that listing to something else but at least it's a functional link to send and you have control over the listing itself.

I’m having the same problem. None of my customers have seen their private links for weeks. Will this be getting fixed?
