I’m a longtime Etsy seller, and I truly value being part of this platform. I’m posting here because I’m experiencing an issue with business verification that’s been ongoing for over a year, and I don’t know how else to get it resolved. I want to be fully compliant and transparent — I’m just looking for help getting past what feels like a system issue that I can’t fix on my own.
More than a year ago, I attempted to update my business address during a move, and that triggered a red banner asking for business verification. Since then, I’ve uploaded every document requested — my Certificate of Formation, a detailed explanation of our address history, tax ID, etc. — but I keep receiving rejections.
The main issue seems to be that the address Etsy has on file (which I’m unable to edit due to the red banner) no longer matches my current documents. But because I can’t update it manually, I’m stuck. I’ve already contacted support, opened multiple tickets, and even called — but I keep getting automated responses or rejections without any indication that someone has actually reviewed the situation.
I’m not trying to cause any trouble — I just want to be sure my shop is fully verified and in good standing. I take my business seriously, and it’s incredibly stressful to not be able to resolve this after such a long time.
I’m kindly asking if someone from Etsy’s Trust & Safety or Risk Operations team could review my case manually or let me know what else is needed. I’m happy to cooperate in any way — I just need some guidance so I can finally move forward.
I wonder if the red banner still showing is a glitch. Your shop should have been shut down long ago if you never completed the verification. I think we only have 10 days to finalize it after we're notified about the need to verify.
I wonder too. My tax information was verified, but it just keeps bouncing back every any possible business document that I am trying to upload telling me that I need to upload a new one I also am receiving no emails and Etsy is telling me they're selling sending me emails. I checked my account settings. The email address is correct. I checked my junk folder and my inbox at this point I really don't know what else to do I will be calling them again tomorrow. I've called multiple times and I've spoken to them on chat multiple times there hasn't been any resolution to this.
@PoshSoiree Chat cannot help. They can only refer you. If you did not ask Etsy to call you then any phone number you are using is fake. There is no number to call.
@PoshSoiree There is no way to call Etsy Support. If you are calling someone, they are not Etsy.
You are making the same error all sellers make at one point or another. You don't open multiple tickets. You use only one and respond only to that one. Opening up more means the preceeding ones are closed as Etsy things everything is fine. Create one more email and use only that email to talk with Etsy.
There is no number to call Etsy. No email outside of Contact us. Chat could only refer you.
If you want you can supply Etsy with your phone number and ask them to call you.
