Came across this by accident. It goes way over my head and is more like something a Coder would understand.
In Help (for Selling) > Your Etsy Account (bottom of page) > Contacting Etsy > Reporting Security Bugs
(Example of a Bug Bounty):
"Let's say you found a Bug that allows an attacker to embed a cross-site scripting attack when updating the 'about' field for your user profile...."
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015650468-Reporting-Security-Bugs?segment=selling
I'm puzzled as to how the example given is relevant to Sellers, and what we look for when reporting Technical Glitches. It's certainly on a different technical level than what my understanding is, using an example of "embedding a cross-site scripting attack". Also discusses using an interception proxy. Again, more for those versed in engineering, not the majority of Sellers I would think.
With the amount of Hacked Accounts, this certainly caught my eye.
Thoughts?
(ETA: I don't know how long this info has been in Help, for Selling. But it's my first time viewing it).
It's been in there for some years.
I guess it's just a simple place for them to provide that information to people who actively research security flaws. It would help the information show up in search engines etc.
