I am an engraver. My engraving machine runs on Windows 98. Since Etsy dropped support for Win98 I must load my orders on one computer, manually write them out and then type them in to the engraver's computer. I tried running Etsy on Chrome but while it will tell me how many orders I have it will not show them to me. To replace my engraver will cost me $30,000. I need to talk to someone in technical support to see if they have any suggestions.
Have you tried running a compatibility test on your engraver SW with the new browser/OS? You may also be able so manually select to operate with an older version for that one program. I still have one or two programs that I'm not ready to give up yet that needed this and so far so good - but they're not engraving software so can't say for sure it would work.
Ah - sorry, think I misunderstood your question.
Win98 is pretty old. Can you not hook up your engraver to a newer supported platform?... cheaper than a whole new engraver.
Best of luck getting this sorted!
For call backs on the weekdays you can go through Shop Manager>Community & Help>Contact Us>Selling on Etsy>(select appropriate dropdown)> I Still Need Help>... Call backs are 7a.m. to 9pm eastern time in English.
@EngravingDepot: If you are on a network can't you use a Remote Desktop to the WIN98 machine from your other computer so you can just cut and paste? And hopefully you have firewalled the WIN98 machine from the internet.
