Basket empties automatically

I am new to selling on Etsy 

im selling a digital download, 

I tested the purchase process, I put item in basket , after a few seconds the basket emptied itself , tried several times, same result, I tried a different device, same thing. I had friends try , same result.

all and any help greatly appreciated

You can't buy from yourself. 

If your friends are with you, their IP address is going to trigger the sensors to say they are with you, and likely won't allow them to buy from you either, because that's considered shilling and against the rules.

Unless you want to get your shop shut down, don't do that - it's shilling!

You cannot buy from yourself and if your friends try from your computer they too have problems as Etsy thinks you are shilling.

BTW are you the author of the book?  If not, it cannot be sold on Etsy.  You have to be the author.

Says the author is Anthony Ingram-Thomas, while the shop owner is Chris Donne.
