My bank details have already been verified by Etsy. I am receiving funds into the account from Sales. Now Every time I load items to my shop I am receiving a message from Shop Helper saying sales are temporarily suspended until verification completed. To restore operation of your store and received new orders please follow instructions. It wants me to scan a QR code from my phone and enter all my bank card details including my security code. I don't see why this info is needed and I am reluctant to enter all my bank details with security code as I think it may be a scam. Any ideas
It is not needed, you are right in thinking those are scammers trying to clean out your account. Sadly, many have lost hundreds of dollars to them.

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
on all your messages it says
To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam.
The QR code is a link off etsy, don't do it
if they ask for financial information, don't do it
If they want money off you, tell them to take a long walk off a short pier
It is absolutely a SCAM! There is no such thing as "ShopHelper"
ALWAYS check to see if it is in the "from etsy" folder of your inbox. Check on a computer or through the browser, not the app.
Question? I TOO AM receiving a message from Shop Helper saying sales are temporarily suspended until verification completed. To restore operation of your store and received new orders please follow instructions. It wants me to scan a QR code from my phone and enter all my bank card details including my security code. So, I received same message with that scan to enter information. I just entered card info and they didn't want my information they wanted me to use another card that does not include my credit union. so I guess I am glad they denied me and now I am definitely walking away and I sent message to my spam box. I am so happy I stumbled on to this. I was so scared for a second because this is my first time running an Esty shop.I feel horribvle and dumb... just very naive i guess...
@MustardSeedByJessica They still might have your information, so be sure to put a fraud alert on that card. Call your credit union ASAP
Don't feel bad. Scammers work at seeming legit and trustworthy. They try hard to fool you. Lots of smart people get fooled.
It's a good idea to keep checking the forums for advice on scams. The scams on Etsy have definitely evolved and people often post about a new version.
