Autorenewed item had wrong shipping profile

Something really odd happened that I can only explain as being a bugg. I am on my summer break and because of that I changed the shipping profile of all my items. All was fine until somebody bought a second item that was sold before and was autorenewed by etsy, only the renewed listing had the wrong shipping profile. Because of that I am late with shipping, and will probably loose my fast shipping status I have of course contacted the buyer.

has anyone else noticed this?

When our orders on our Orders page have a "dispatches by" date, that is the deadline used by the star seller bots.  We can extend that deadline no matter what the original shipping profiles of the transaction state.  Is that "dispatches by" date visible to you on your Orders page?  I keep an eagle eye on every one of those "dispatches by" dates on the Orders page because that is the one and only date (for each transaction) that matters to the star seller bots.

Yes and it's one day late. I have updated the dispatch by date now, and send the buyer a message. But it’s really strange how this could have happened.

I don't trust shipping profiles. Too glitchy. I just add the size/weight info in each listing. It is one issue I have if they force the new lister I do NOT want to use profiles.

@hopeandjoystudios  Agree. I don't trust shipping profiles either, and don't use them.  I use a Fixed Rate for Shipping.  And issue a Partial Refund for overages above $1.00.

I never had a problem with the shipping profiles, always worked fine. They have been around for years it is nothing new. Maybe if you buy your labels on Etsy it is easier to put size/weight in the listing. I ship with UPS from Belgium
