Hello,
I don't post that often here but...
I have all my listings to auto renewal but I just noticed that 192 of them expired on the 1st of April...
Did anyone knows why that might have happened?
All of my listings have different renewal dates as I add new items every now and then plus if something that is more than one renew itself till its sold out.
It's really upsetting that I have to pay a renewal fee earlier than normal...
Thanks in advance.
Here is a long thread about it from 2 weeks ago that may help.
You received an email explaining that for listings that were set to expire and did not, Etsy would expire them for you.
why would they do that if I have more than one in stock and not set to expire?
And especially after I paid the renewal fee for them?
I will look for that email.
Because Etsy finally fixed a bug/glitch that has been going on for a few years. The issue was some listing's (both manual and auto renew) never actually expired and weren't charged renewal fees. They sent an email a couple of weeks ago about it.
The fix was they expired them all so now you have to renew them if you want them listed again. As confusing and possibly upsetting as it may be now you were getting all those listing's for free for however long they were stuck in the bug/glitch. I had a few that dated back to 2022 or 23 that never expired meaning I was not charged renewal fees on those listing's since 2022.
so basically I will have to pay £46 to renew them even though I paid already as I didn't want them to expire?
You paid to list them when you listed them but not for the renewals once they should have expire after 4 months. You got all of those renewals for free. The bug/glitch was costing Etsy money not you.
