Hi,
When I ship my package to Australia, how can I declare that the GST is taken by ETSY? ETSY does not provide any other detail like a unique identification number for the custom declaration. I may still declare that GST has been paid by writing a note on the package explaining that ETSY has paid the GST on my behalf. However, it is important to note that this may not be sufficient evidence for customs officials to waive any GST or import taxes that may be applicable.
Best Regards
I print the packing slip/invoice and attach it to the back of the package, with Etsy's collection number.

Hi,
In the packaging slip ( pdf file ) there is NOT any ETSY collection number. Just order ID.
I will write that. Last question then. The invoice ETSY creates is based on AU currency. Should I declare as AU or as USD? Invoice has 2 pdf file. I can print both; AU and USD.
The order receipt is in your shop currency, the packing slip is in the buyers paid currency.
When you click print on the order, a pop up allows to select which one or both you want. It will remember your selection, so you've probably got both selected and it's given you a pdf of both.
For customs, you should use the packing slip in the buyers currency.
I will use that AU invoice as you said. I also added that Etsy’s Australian Reference Number (ARN): 3000 0920 7152 at the end of the invoice like this: https://ibb.co/3CwCPwS
ETSY should do this by default I guess.
