Hello,
I recently posted my first listing, and am in the process of creating more.
Two weeks I too got the dreaded red message of doom, stating my messages were 'temporarily' blocked. I am able to receive messages but can't send messages nor even send anything through the Etsy help page.
This is an error on Etsy's part as I have never sent any unsolicited messages and have only replied to sellers thanking me for my purchase and inviting me to reply.
This all started within minutes of publishing my first listing. I received a message, that I later determined was spam, which led me to a page that wanted me to verify my credit card credentials. I clicked off that page, replied to that message stating my suspicions.
I then tried to reply to a seller and that's when I received the red message.
As of this morning, I am still blocked, as I tried to reply to another seller of a product I purchased.
I am creating this new thread on the subject, as there so many other threads, because in one of those it suggested I start a new thread in order to hopefully get my situation seen by the admins and get help unblocking my messages.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
We are only other sellers here, so cannot actually fix anything,
If you want etsy to look into something, you have to log a ticket though - help - contact us. Only log the one, and reply to it every day saying you still need help, if nothing is fixed
......
If you were replying the same way to different sellers, etsy may have though it was spamming, I would create a sperate account and use it for buying, don't buy with your business selling account.
Etsy normally blocks messages for at least 2 weeks the first time.
.....
If you get a spam message, never reply, mark it as spam
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
As I mentioned, it was suggested in another post to do a new thread and perhaps and Admin could assist.
Thanks for the info, although I have already tried to submit a support thick and was not able to send it.
Thanks.
@JosiRoseInspirations Admin usually does not answer all listings. They monitor but they seldom get involved,
It would be best to contact ETsy via email to let them know the issue. I assume this is you cannot respond to buyers' asking questions. For this you need to contact Etsy since this issue is only happening with a few shops.
Why can't you send in a support ticket? Use any close applicable subject in Contact us. Then look for 'I still need help'. Send the email . If you are using the app, use a browser instead,
never mind. read it wrong.
Etsy reset my outgoing messages since yesterday so it looks like all is well ... for now!
Thanks for the comments.
~Josi
How did you manage to get it resolved so quickly?
