I lowered a price on one of my sterling silver chain necklaces with a Amber Sun pendant, and Etsy immediately deactivated the listing. This is just a sterling silver sun pendant with an Amber cabochon in the center, not strung amber chips or beads. I deactivated my strung amber necklaces and bracelets long ago, and Etsy deactivated some, but this one remained until I modified it today. Is there any recourse to getting that listing reinstated? It does not fit the description of a prohibited item. I read here that deactivated listings are not reviewed. Is there any recourse when an item is mistakenly deactivated?
It takes time for support to get back to you.
I would suggest you do not relist it, let Etsy reactivate once a human looks at the listing.
Edited to add: You can also request a Call Back and they may be able to expedite it.
Can't speak to all deactivated items, but my "Etsy compliant" amber jewelry has been reviewed and reactivated within about 5 days each time. It is frustrating that items that have previously been reviewed and approved get deactivated again upon renewal, but so far (fingers crossed), they've also been reactivated again.
Supposedly yes, but I would try to reach out with the listing number to see if you could speed it up.
This!
Thank you. I sent them an email. I verified that it is not a prohibited item and changed some of the tags but didn't relist it. I would like to relist it since I'm sure it is not a prohibited item but don't want to risk suspension. I will wait for a response and hope for the best.

Thank you @EverythingBullets How do I request a call back? I couldn't find a method to do that. Do I request it when I reply to the email that they sent me?
Go to the Help Page
Down at bottom of page you will see Contact Etsy Support
Follow through the choices until you see Chat or Call Back
@ClareCorreCreations Don't know if this will work for you, but try this link below (I went through them all and not sure if it is specific to me or anyone can use this)
Thank you @EverythingBullets I did go through that and selected the issue, but email is the only thing available to me, I guess, with no chat or call back choices. Maybe that is available for more pressing issues but not mine. It is distressing to me when this kind of thing happens unfairly but maybe they will make it right so that I don't lose sales before Christmas. I thank you sincerely for your help.
Did you use the second link I sent you?
This one Submit a request – Etsy Help
I am seeing both available.
I checked and saw you are in the US, so I am thinking it should be available to you also?
Check your messages, I sent you one.
Thank you so much. I did go through the steps, and it looks like only email is available to me. I will wait to see if someone reviews it. I really hope they do. It isn't right or fair to deactivate a listing that does not violate the prohibited items policy. As it is, I have thousands of dollars invested in amber beads which I cannot use to make necklaces to sell in my shop here. I guess I will have to find another venue to sell that in someday. The least they can do is allow me to sell non-prohibited amber items.

Honestly, I think the answer is no. I've been waiting since August to have one re-activated, reviewed, or whatever etsy does (received no email regarding removal either).
An alternative would be to create a new listing for the item and call it natural fossil resin, which is what amber technically is. That's what I plan to do if I ever use the amber stones I have.
@ClareCorreCreations You may not see the call back because of the time. Here's the info:
For call backs on the weekdays you can go through Shop Manager>Community & Help>Contact Us>Selling on Etsy>(select appropriate dropdown)> I Still Need Help>... Call backs are 7a.m. to 9pm Eastern time in English.
Hope this helps.
Thanks so much, everyone, for your help. I will try to be patient. I tried again this morning to get the call option at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, but when I go through the steps, only the email option is available to me. I will wait for a while, I guess. I replied to their initial email above the dotted line, but the second email that I got as an automated response said that "Our support agents can’t reinstate your listing, and our decision on this matter remains final." I don't know if that means that the matter has been reviewed by a human or if that is just an automated response to a prohibited item. My item is just a sterling silver chain with a sterling silver pendant that has an amber cabochon and not a prohibited item. I've seen similar ones on Etsy, and it's not a string or strand of beads.
