Anyone else getting an error message when trying to post a listing? Or is it just me?

@LilDomsDesigns  : Are you trying to do this using an Etsy app or via mobile browser or desktop browser (it makes a difference as to possible causes and potential solutions, otherwise we have to guess).

Nope, same, was listing a few new things and now I get errors. Can't even save the draft. On a MacBook using Safari.

@somethinspecial  : We have not been able to replicate this problem on (desktop) Windows 10 or Linux using Firefox and Brave browsers on both. There have been other reports of issues with Safari browsers in this forum. Have you tried a different browser?

I don't get the error message but I can't post a photo when I want to create a new listing. I am using my Mac lap top.

I just made (well, tried) making a copy of a sold listing since the new item was a variation of the old and the listing description would have mostly been the same, with some minor tweaks. I've done this hundreds of times. When I submitted the listing, and clicked the link that says the listing was now active, I got an error message saying the item was unavailable and it's nowhere to be found in my active listings  

I am using google chrome on my computer.

Editing to add: I was charged the listing fee for it. But when I click the link in my billing statement that is shown for the charge, it again tells me the item is unavailable.

Another edit: I had a chat with etsy support, and they are escalating this since I was charged and the listing seems to be nowhere

I had this happen yesterday, it took some time for them to show up in my shop. They did eventually, but I had to wait.

There have been a number of threads in this forum about issues where the Safari browser is / was apparently the culprit.

I have been having all sorts of issues recently. For me, it started with trying to duplicate a listing. I kept getting the "uh-oh" message. Then when I was trying to update listings I would get an uh-oh. Then I was able to renew some, but got an uh-oh when I tried to update the renewed listings. Then of course it continued on with photos unlinking from variations. Then (and this is the one that makes me the angriest).... old pictures I deleted some time ago came back to my listings. New pictures disappeared. THEN multiple old pictures appeared. For example, I had one listing with 6 variations. Lets say teal, blue, green, aqua, clear, red, pink. All of photos were replaced with the picture for the teal. The variation options were still there, but 6 pictures of the teal color and all other color pictures gone. Etsy told me to ONLY update and fix listings with my desktop, which I have been using this whole time. Now I see today more old pictures have popped up. I feel like I am running in circles. I am in the process of taking new pictures for all my items and this is absolute chaos!!!!!! I believe Etsy is having serious problems and they are trying to restore from backups and in the process the pictures are missing and the variations are unlinking. Perhaps when an uh-oh happens it is because the information cannot be pulled from the server because the backup or data is bad. Or they need some new database developers.

I remember your post the other day about the "variations" problem and noted yesterday that I am having the same problem with photos changing and old one reappearing.  Thankfully I do not have many listings with variations and only noticed this when renewing a sold out listing with (as you say) a very slight variation to the original. ONly a couple of mine were affected--thank goodness! Now to se if the "changes back" stick!

I am using a PC also, win10Firefox--altho sometimes I switch to Chrome (usually when printing labels considering THAT problem )
