I have to say, ETSY is really ridiculous!
My ETSY account was wrongly closed a fortnight ago and on the 10th of July ETSY reinstated my account claiming that it was wrongly closed. But today, ETSY closed my account once again with the reason that they may permanently revoke your Etsy account privileges due to buyers opening too many cases in my shop recently.
Obviously ETSY closed my account by mistake, emailed the buyer to open cases, and now says it's because of my shop issues!
I am really angry about this, during the time my account was closed, there were many orders that I had completed delivery on, but was still refunded by the buyer opening a case, ETSY did not compensate me for this, and now they have closed my account once again!
I have to be disappointed with ETSY, that's probably why ETSY lost a lot of buyers, they closed a lot of ETSY shops in large numbers for the so called security of the market! Most of the buyers choose ETSY because they want to send a gift to someone within a specified period of time, and ETSY arbitrarily closes the seller's account resulting in the buyer not being able to receive the gift in time, very disappointed with ETSY!
I am requesting someone to help me? I'm really desperate, I've spent a lot of time and effort on ETSY and now it's inexplicably closing my account!
While I agree the BBB is BS, Etsy does respond to those complaints. A simple log on to the BBB searching Etsy will show that any complaint posted there has been engaged with by Etsy. They don't just sit there unanswered. It's not the BBB answering the complaint. It's an Etsy representative. You're mileage may vary but it worked for me and it's been posted on other sites that it's worked for others. Another unpopular opinion around these parts is that we don't all receive the same level of service. This goes against the fairness doctrine that Etsy preaches and Etsy sellers love. But larger selling accounts definitely receive a different level of service than smaller accounts when they encounter issues.
According to their own TOS Etsy doesn't have to provide you with a reason for closure. So waiting to file an appeal until you *know* the reason is probably not going to work 99% of the time. The waters are muddied now because bots are involved and humans are a second line of defense (if you can even get to one.) It's not like a dozen years ago when you would be closed or suspended BECAUSE a human took a look at a report and agreed you were in violation of terms of service. Nowadays the first thing that happens is a bot shuts you down or pulls a listing and then it becomes your second job to unwind their screw up if it was done erroneously.
I cached version shows that you were personalizing already made items? There is this new level of descriptions that Etsy is implementing. Etsy's Creativity Standards - Our House Rules | Etsy I would make sure your items are described according to what Etsy has here. It may be a case of tweaking what you have listed to make them Etsy compliant.
The about page is the place to show how you personalize your items. That this is done in house with this machine. If you are farming out the personalization that does not fit what is listed in the article.
I suggest taking the time to read the article in full and then compose a reply email to ETsy if you already sent in an appeal for a closed shop. If not then read the guidelines in Help and formulate what you want to tell them. It may take some back and forth.
Looking at various caches of your shop since last year, it has had an interesting history.
If Etsy did close your shop in error, then you are correct that closing you for cases caused by that closure is wrong, and they should reopen you. Problem is, we don't know if Etsy perhaps reopened your shop in error in their opinion, which would of course lead to them closing you again. In my experience, shops that have been closed more than once have difficulty staying open after that.
Can you file another appeal from here? https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_account_appeal-solution_primary
Good luck!
Could your photos have been stolen and used by another place like Temu? If so, Etsy's bots always automatically shut down the listings / sometimes the shop and then you have to spend time getting the other platforms to take down the stolen photos.
When you appeal, if they don't reply, just keep responding with I need more help. It can take a while though, it seems there are more bots than people at Etsy so getting a human being to look into it is the hardest thing
Good luck
