Qrocess:
I received a text message at ETSY, and a person named [Removed by moderation] pretended to be a buyer and asked me to provide my email address.
I provided my email address and received a fake order confirmation from [Removed by moderation] the email include a link "lock in your order",Click the link ,Open a page that collects bank card information.
If you continue to operate on this link page and enter information such as bank card number and password, the amount in the bank will be transferred.
Hope etsy has a channel to complain and stop the scam!
Hello,
Please do not provide any sensitive information to this account as it is indeed a scam, if you encounter any similar messages in the future you can also flag them as spam, having said that I escalated this one and it is currently being investigated, so appropriate action can be taken. Thanks!
There are MANY posts here in the Etsy Forums about this SCAM ... and Etsy has already dealt with it by posting this article ...

That is hardly "dealing with it" though, that’s just preemptively putting the blame on the seller to protect themselves.
They could more efficiently deal with this by giving us a way to report scam attemps so that these profiles get deleted promptly instead of making 100s of victims. They could also implement an anti-fraud bot that flags requests for a shop’s email for review, since they love AI so much.
A lot of Etsy sellers are desperate for a sale and these scammers are capitalizing on that. Despicable. And Etsy doing nothing to stop it just adds insult to injury.
Actually, it looks like Etsy is doing quite a lot "in the background" to identify and delete accounts used to send these messages. Many of the Accounts have been closed by the time recipients of these messages look at them. Also, the "scammers" are continually finding ways to evade the "bots" (mis-spelling of e Mail is the most obvious)
@POPCASA - The links you posted are live. You have one hour to edit your post & delete them. We don't need anyone else clicking on them!!
I don't understand what you mean, why do you need "edit your post & delete them"?
