Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work

I'm trying to adjust the thumbnail, but it never works properly! Is it a bug?

I've had trouble with this since Etsy introduced this newer listing program.  Usually, it will work after I edit and save a post after going into it again to edit the thumbnail.  Sometimes I have to do this more than once.  It is annoying but I've gotten used to it since Etsy hasn't addressed the problem.

The last two things I listed, I cannot get the thumbnails to adjust properly. Others in the forums have reported this issue to Etsy, but they don't seem to see it as a priority. I emailed them about it today, maybe if more and more people contact them about it, they will fix this issue. I feel like it makes your shop look bad when thumbnails are off center and cut off.

It's never worked properly for me.  

When I adjust my thumbnail, most of the time when I hit Apply and publish, it still looks like I never adjusted it.  I have to go in multiple times, adjust the thumbnail, Apply, Publish until it finally "takes".  Today my thumbnail was totally off center, my first experience with this error.  When I went in to fix it, the pic was centered and fine, but when I wen to Apply, then publish, it was still off center.  So frustrating.  I get it.

Yes, it's a pain, for sure. If I make the photo smaller to get it just right for the thumbnail, I'm thinking I will have to adjust it later when and if it ever gets fixed.

I never have an issue.  I use 4:3 square photos.  The only one I have problems with is one I took with an older camera and I just haven't gone back to do a new one.

Huge bug that has been going on forever! Please, Etsy -- hear us and get this fixed!

Glad I am not alone.. driving me mad! Adjusted and saved over 20 times, waited hours between, tried again, still nothing happens! Just reverts to the original image not adjusted.

This works for me after trying 50373839 different things. Give this a try...
After you publish your listing, go back to edit.
- Adjust the thumbnail how you want it and click done
- now click "crop" and on the free transform adjust it just a smidge so its not even noticeable and click done again
- now hit apply
- you should now see the thumbnail preview how you like it, hit publish!

Hope this helps, but worked for me after spending a day trying to get my new thumbnails to work. That is as long as etsy doesn't revert them in a day.

The issue going on the last couple of weeks is not the same one we've been dealing with for what feels like years. The Technical team has told a number of us that they are aware of it and are working on fixing the issue. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

This is the most frustrating thing about listing an item.  I try to adjust the thumbnail over and over and over and it doesn't stay.  When are they going to fix this?  Been going on for a month!!

Yup , Etsy keeps telling me they are "working on it" ! How long can this take????
