Sometimes I have to adjust the Thumbnail photo 10 times before it does what I want. Very frustrating and time consuming.

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
It hasn't worked properly for literally years.
Etsy keeps making shiny new toys instead of fixing major issues like this.
Use a first photo that is exactly the way you want the thumbnail to look (taken in landscape ratio) instead of trying to adjust it. I started doing this when the issue first popped up, and now I never have to try to fight with it.

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
Sometimes it doesn't show sticking but when you publish it is adjusted. Sometimes not but if you then adjust it via an edit it usually sticks, I have a one go max then check it after publishing. No it has been forked up for a couple YEARS and Etsy is aware and apparently doesn't care.

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
It is so frustrating to try to make this simple feature work. Yet when money comes out of my shop to pay for fees it works perfectly and instantly. Etsy, please fix this adjust photo feature. It can't be that difficult. Half of my item is cut off when I try to show it, how can that help my sales?

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
This is a problem for me as well. I adjust the thumbnail the way I want it but when I publish, the photo is cut off. So I edit again with the cropping a little farther away, but after publishing it's still the same way as it was the first time. I tried using both the old and new(yuck) listing form and got the same results. BTW-why are there 2 listing forms-old and new? How about if just one works without glitching?

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
Instead of adding a bunch of new AI garbage, why not fix some BASIC functionality for fixing our thumbnail images?
It's stupid that you changed the thumbnail images to be square on our shop pages, but the "adjust thumbnail" function in the shop manager still shows a rectangle image (and the list views in the shop manager still show a rectangular image).

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
Etsy please fix this. It is so frustrating and a waste of my time. But not your time apparently.... Your seller customer service is abysmal, please hold yourself to better standards.

What's sad is this post is from April 2023, yet it's still relevant : (

Re: Adjust the thumbnail doesn't work properly
I totally get that! It can be so time-consuming and frustrating to get the thumbnail just right. Hopefully, it'll get easier with time or updates!
