Activation of the shop

We have registered with Etsy, but cannot be activated because data is apparently still missing. We operate a GmbH and have trademark rights. We have uploaded all legal information. We have also made support requests but have not received any response. We even had a lawyer check our information and everything is fine. What else can we do besides canceling on Etsy?

ID verification can take a couple of weeks - I think they have to do it manually. There's not much you can do but wait.

In the mean time make sure you have read the Seller Policy (many shops fail to do this and get caught out later). https://www.etsy.com/legal/sellers/

Read the forum and make sure you are aware of scammers impersonating Etsy Support/Staff via Etsy messages.

ID verification may be the reason.  Etsy may be reviewing your products. Trademark rights through whom?  A recognized holder of trademarks?   And Etsy may also be reviewing your tax information which would include the GMBH.  It can take a few days or a few weeks.

and thanks for the answer. A GmbH can be checked within five minutes based on its registration with the court. The same applies to trademark law. We have two registered trademarks that can be viewed in the DPMA register based on the address. Fraud is completely impossible in both cases.

@DironTechShop Etsy aren't interested in what registered trademarks you hold unless you are filing a legal takedown against another shop. Even then I doubt they check the veracity, they just follow a process and the rest is up to you.

Verification of your company status may take 5 mins but Etsy have a lot of new sellers to check so I expect you are in a queue.

This is exactly what should be done when registering, because if, for example, a fraudster took other people's data, Etsy would no longer exist for long. But I think Etsy is working correctly here and it's actually due to the many registrations. I'll wait and see.

Hello folks,
It's now been over a month since registration. I was told the tax number wasn't correct or they couldn't verify us. We have provided all documents. Business registration, registration of the GmbH in court, tax proof, so I can no longer understand it. What else can we do?

We are other sellers and we cannot help you. Honestly, I have no idea why this is taking time, and the only person(s) who can...are Etsy.

yes I understand. I just don't understand why the tax number shouldn't be correct. If I enter our tax number into Google we will be found immediately. We have now written that Etsy should cancel the process and delete the shop. A pity
