Account suspension

Dear all,

I am a bit confused as I was trying to verify my bank account details, but Etsy says they are not able to verify it and requested that I upload a bank statement. I fulfilled the request, but Etsy still cannot verify my account, stating that the information does not match. I have provided the official bank letter (which I obtained from the bank). The document includes all the information that Etsy listed as a requirement.

Unfortunately, I have reached the maximum number of attempts, and my shop is now suspended. I submitted an appeal request, but it is frustrating since I believe I have provided everything, and this has still happened.

I am unsure of what to do next

All my ID's are matching, but they arent accepting the bank statement. I went to the bank to get a new one with everything requested. But now unable to appeal. They have deducted payment for operating fee and VAT, so they have access but still got suspended for this with no way of contacting anyone.

payment for operating fee and VAT would have come from the payment account, or your card, not from your bank

Are you positive it is Etsy asking and not a scam?

Your shop is not suspended!  You might have been having conversations with spammers who pretend they are from Etsy and are very convincing!!

Check your messages in your Shop Manager and check the "From Etsy" folder as genuine messages will be in there.

I haven't been in contact with anybody. Everything was done within Etsys website.

@ZienZienCrochet   Your shop is open.  I suspect you have been dealing with a scammer as your Etsy payments appears to be active.  What does it say under the bank information in the shop payment account area?  Does it have a flag?

In this case I would contact your bank and inform them that a scam attempt has been made and they have your information. 

Etsy asks for this information via a secure email.  Did you upload from inside Etsy?  

I would contact Etsy and ask them if this is a legitimate request from them.

Its on my finance page in payment settings in a bold red box saying "Looks like youve reached max number of attempts to verify your bank account, for now your shop is suspended and you wont receive any funds, Youll need to reach out to Etsy Support to verify your bank account and reopen your shop"

The banking section has a red flag. "failed verification attempt. just to clarify I haven't been messaging anyone. everything was done within Etsy website.
