Account set to limited or force vacation but not sure why

My account was set to limited at the beginning of March and then magically turned back to normal a week later. Now the same thing has happened again and my account is set to limited. I have read through the shop policies multiple times and I am not sure what I am doing wrong so I can fix it and prevent this from happening. When I contact etsy I am just told they will put it through to the right department but I don't actually ever hear from anyone about fixing it. Help!

Stanley cups.

Prohibited Items Policy - Our House Rules | Etsy

Unauthorized replicas or copies of items, and patterns or designs enabling their creation, are prohibited on Etsy. We consider counterfeit or unauthorized goods to be items that imitate an authentic good, particularly by using a brand’s name, logo, or protected design without the brand owner’s consent. Additionally, we may consider up-cycled or re-purposed items, even if using authentic materials, to be counterfeit if they are making use of a brand's name, logo, or protected design without their permission. Examples of prohibited counterfeit or unauthorized goods include replica luxury and non-luxury items like bags and branded apparel.

@audreytherese

I thought you were talking about the hockey trophy until I looked at the shop's listings LOL.

My shop is open if you go directly to it, but won't show up in any searches for the shop or the items- I guess that's what makes it "limited?" As for the Stanley's, I'm not going against any etsy policies as I am still engraving them and personalizing them. All of mine are authentic and purchased directly from Stanley retailers. How did the other shop get told they were under investigation I wonder? I can't seem to get any response. I feel like they should have emailed me to provide some sort of reason. Does anyone know of a better way of contacting them to actually talk to someone?

@LightCraftLaserShop Did you read the part in the policies I shared? I even made it red so it would stand out. Support often won't respond to you if they believe the answer is written in the rules (which it is).

Do you have written permission directly from Stanley to use their name on a 3rd party direct to consumer site? If not, then using their brand correlates directly where it states that even if using authentic materials, it can still be considered counterfeit. Just because you are using real Stanley's doesn't mean you can sell them here. I am authorized to decorate and sell Carhartt products, but I can only do so on my own website. I cannot do that on a marketplace like Etsy. It's very, very likely that Stanley works the same way.

Your shop is open.  Are you sure this was not a scam message?  Was the message in the Etsy folder?  Did it come to your email?

Re: Account set to limited or force vacation but not sure why

There was a shop in here about a week ago that also had Stanley products. They called support because it was like their shop was shut off (even though it was open) and could have been described as 'limited'. Support straight told them they were under investigation along with a large group of other Etsy shops (which I won't forget, because I've never heard of support actually acknowledging something like that before). I'm just guessing, but I think it's a fair assumption that there's currently a large investigation going on and there is about to be a big sweep of shops selling Stanley products.

Re: Account set to limited or force vacation but not sure why

@LightCraftLaserShop: Up-cycling can be a slippery slope (ask the people who were sued by Ferrari for making modifications to their vehicles) and if you do it for profit it becomes even more complicated. Hopefully you checked with an attorney before embarking on your business journey, but many companies do not like their trademarked name being used to sell products that they have not themselves made or modified. An argument can be made by the trademark owner that you are using their trademark without their permission for your personal enrichment. Even if the company does not care, Etsy may consider them "counterfeits" under their Terms of Service.

@LightCraftLaserShop Your shop and listings are not indexed.  It's a typical glitch and might not be because of the cups.  Anything I put in your shop's search box (cheeseboard, Easter, etc.) showed no results.   Respond on one Support ticket you already have open and specifically mention ''shop not indexed''.
