I just heard about these changes so I checked my shipping profiles.
This looked like a hot mess, but my solution was first to delete shipping profiles that I'm not using, mostly because Etsy has coerced me into using calculated shipping or not charging more than $5.99 for domestic shipping. Thanks Etsy. Not.
And then, for the other shipping profiles, I'm glancing at them (most of them appear to be SOLD items) and then changing each profile to ready-to-ship and 1-2 day processing time. This causes the listings in these profiles to be lumped into the profile with 900+ listings (I only have 50 active listings so I don't know why Etsy is changing shipping profiles on other listings?!). I will have ONE profile (with one listing) that has a longer processing time, but that's all.
Weird, I don't get it- they threw in a bunch of old custom orders from years ago, changed them to "made to order", which I never do! Lucky they only added 5 profiles; you can't delete but if you change it to your normal processing time , they go away....this is so stupid! Oh but if they were shipped later than my normal processing time, Etsy will probably take my star seller away LOL!
@BluKatDesign Yeah, Etsy seems to have applied the change to all of our sold listings, I suppose just in case we ever wanted to re-use those listings?
I had about 50 listings at the time I started trying to figure out this mess last week, but Etsy showed their change was applied to 915 listings, going back to at least 2008! (I deleted 16 of my sold listings and expected the 915 number to change to 899, but it hasn't done that yet and it's been HOURS.)
Thanks for posting this. I just noticed the change yesterday. Playing games on us again. Not cool at all!
