API key pending, how long does it typically take?

Hi! I applied for an Etsy API key four or so days ago, but it's still listed as pending.

I saw a previous post about this but it was from over a year ago and it was from before the V3 api came out. I'm wondering what the current average wait time is for approval.

Have you tried reaching out to support? I've had to open a case each time I've requested an API key, though I didn't do it immediately after the request, but I waited a 5-7 business days before doing so. It didn't take long after opening the case to get approval. I don't think they prioritize these requests, so you might need to bug them.

Sorry I didn't update this when they approved my API key. I didn't think anyone was following this thread. It was finally approved a few days after my last post.

I applied for one last night and this morning still not approved. What the heck Etsy! A month for something that should happen instantly! I guess I'll start look at alternatives...

5 years ago I got my key in a minute. Etsy seems to be more careful now. An API key is pretty powerful if you know how to use it.
