A listing is still available to buy even though I have sold the item

Jump to solution

How can I fix this issue?

Its worrying as I am not sure what is going on?  Should I still deliver the item?

Thank you

Yes that is what I have done

You are better than the Etsy chat though they did tell me to make it inactive which was the thing to do

Maybe you have in the listing that there is more than one available, so when you sell one it still shows more available?

@VintageAntiqueChairs  If it's the last item you sold "Pair of French 19th Century chairs", that listing is still active.
You're still showing "ONE" available.
If someone bought the pair of chairs, YES you need to ship/deliver them.
Why wouldn't you deliver them?

You do realize that you have NO seller protection on orders $250 or more.

On items under that amount, you'd probably lose a case because
you do not have legal policies for the UK/EU. You have to give 14 days for a buyer to contact you to return an item and 14 days to return it.
Since Etsy doesn't have 28 days you have to select 30 days.

You can FIX this.
Since the title states "Pair" I'm assuming the listing is for both chairs but you probably entered "2" for the quantity instead of "1".

If that pair was the ONLY pair of chairs like this you have, deactivate or delete that listing before someone buys them.

If selling anything in pairs or in multiples, you only enter a quantity of 1 in the listing.  So when someone buys it, the items won't be available for purchase again.

If you're selling just one item separately but have 2, 3, etc available you'd put that for the quantity. Then when someone bought 1 the item would renew-sold.

Just noticed a set of 4 regency dining chairs you have listed.
I assume for the price that is for ALL 4 chairs.
You have a quantity of 4.

If you're selling ALL 4 chairs at one time you need to put 1 for the quantity.

If you're selling 1 chair for that price then 4 for the quantity would be right BUT you need to "remove" set of four from the title.

You only have 1 sentence for the description so really not clear what someone would get for the price, 1 chair or all 4 chairs.
I'd assume ALL 4 chairs since you state "set of four" in the title and show all 4 chairs and if I only got 1 chair, I'd not be happy.

@VintageAntiqueChairs  The pair of chairs? You must have listed as a quantity of 2 when in fact, it should have been one. If they are not longer available, delete the listing.
