I had a buyer leave the same 5 star review for 2 different vintage mugs, noting they were “perfect” but in one place they are showing as both 5 stars and in another place one of them is showing as 4 star so i believe it is a glitch.
I work hard for my reviews so although it doesnt seem like a huge deal, it means something to me to fix it. I have screen grabs of both instances.
What do you mean by in one place and in another place?
Sorry that was confusing verbiage. In the order itself, i see they left two seperate 5 star reviews but in my Reviews section where they all live together, one of them is showing 4 stars.
@DomesticArtisanGoods: There have been several other posts about this and seems to only be a display issue. Are you experiencing this on an app by any chance?
Hi I've recently started selling as well and have run into the same issue, after asking the buyer how i could improve and what problems they had that influenced their 4 star review they said they rated it 5 stars and sent their screen shots of the review process, but my Etsy sellers page and star seller calculation is showing now as a average of 4.9, Its nothing super big but as i only have a few reviews it impacts a lot.
I recently had a 4 star review, item was smaller than they thought. I messaged her and asked if there was anything I could do for her regarding her purchase. She replied that she could not leave 5 stars. She went back to revise it to 5 and couldn't do that either. She was extremely upset. I told her not to worry about it and assured her I was not upset. What else can you do? I didn't want to tell her that it was probably instability within the Etsy system. Sellers know it, but we don't need buyers thinking this site is totally screwed up.
For sure, i just said not to worry and moved on, was more so checking here to see if this was a known issue, which it seems to be, and if there was any sort of solution, which there doesnt seem to be.
