I was supposed to earn Star Seller badge, but instead I did not get "Smooth shipping" and "Speedy replies" badges.
- My shipping is at 100% but badge is not earn. 8 out of 8 orders shipped on time, but still no badge. Please look it up and adjust.
- Customer has contacted me for the first time ever on December 27th, customer name is Tony. However, my Message respond metrics for December stayed at 0, the same for January. It says black on white under the message "This buyer hasn't messaged you before".
I need that metric to be adjusted since he contacted me withing October 1st- December 31st, so I'm supposed to earn "Smooth replies" badge since I responded in a timely manner.
I have contacted Technical support here twice previously, but not getting any responds.
Please help.
Etsy can not, and will not retroactively adjust your Star Seller metrics.
We are only other sellers and can do nothing for you.
Better luck next time.
Oh no, so Technical Support has nothing to do with that forum? I was told multiple times by etsy customer support "If you still think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, I encourage you to let us know in the Technical Issues forum."
@MrPOTnVIOLETS: "Please look it up and adjust." Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy moderators do sometimes read and reply to posts).
Support and the Virtual Assistant appear to be trained to send people to the forum as soon as 'Star Seller' is mentioned as they do not have the authority or ability to manually adjust Star Seller stats.
Etsy can, in some cases, correct the underlying data and then Star Seller stats auto update (but not retroactively).
First you need to check the applicable CSV files on your Customer Satisfaction page to determine what Etsy thinks is wrong.
If you find an error, you need to contact Etsy support. The suggestion has been made to NOT mention Star Seller as doing so seems to negatively affect the ability to get these kinds of issues resolved.
Thank you for your response. It makes sense now. I was under impression that this is the way to contact Technical Support since Customer Support provides me the link to that forum here saying "If you still think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, I encourage you to let us know in the Technical Issues forum."
Check the CSV for the previous period. Not what you are seeing now.
Did you select to accept the message?
Look at the CSV for the previous period for messages. If you did not answer within 24 hours, then the message does not count for prompt replies.
Check the tracking as well. If the items were not accepted by USPS and remained pre-transit that can mean Etsy did not accept the tracking even if the item was delivered. THe previous CSV will tell you what was missed.
.
My message response rate for the previous period and the current still shown as "--%". Not sure if I selected to accept the message or not, but I replied right away. Currently it does not show an option to accept the message
As per tracking, it was accepted and delivered in a timely manner. Buyer even left me positive feedback. Not sure why there is glitches under my metrics
@MrPOTnVIOLETS: "... message response rate ... still shown as "--%"" ---% means nothing to calculate not 0% and will not disqualify you from Star Seller, just the Message badge. Keep in mind that the Star Seller metric is NOT all new messages but only the first message of all new incoming threads.
"... was accepted and delivered ..." What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly.
You need to check the applicable CSV file on your Customer Service Stats page (last review period for January star) to see what order(s) Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.
blimey, if they sell at full price, I should start crocheting tea cosies with flowers
on a separate note
the csv should show which of the 3 shipping criteria you are missing
when you mark as complete, it has to be done within the dispatch time, with the shipper, type od shipping, and related tracking number
I also contacted Etsy chat and he said it was a glitch. They did not include the Speedy Replies credit to my shop. I have been a Star Seller for a long time and have never had this happen before.
go to the service standard stats
click on PREVIOUS review period (the default is current)
download the csv, and you will see which one/s etsy thinks you missed
Did you loose your Star Seller badge cause it wasn't included?
@MrPOTnVIOLETS did you have $300 in sales, not including shipping price, during the last 3 months? Selling that amount is a requirement, also.
They have the Rave Reviews badge so they must have meet the sales quantity and volume requirements.
@MrPOTnVIOLETS yes. I sold a lot in December.
@craftycornishmaids ok, thanks.
Update: finally they fixed my metrics. I opened another service request and attached the screen shots, that helped!! Without the screenshots, they were saying they did not see any wrong metrics.
Thank you for your help!
