1099k

Does anyone know how to get a letter from ETSY stating when they started to pay gross receipts taxes for their 1099 employees? Can't find this anywhere. Contacted ETSY support and they stated its not available. Anyone? I need to get the state off my back regarding 1099K gross receipts....thanks!

And it's sales and use tax - not sure what else you are looking for, unless you are considering yourself an employee of Etsy.

@PillowDetails - The OP is in New Mexico and "sales tax" seems to be called Gross Receipts Tax in that state.

Etsy collects and remits sales tax, and you are (most likely) not an Etsy employee.

@JensSunshineDesigns: Do you mean when Etsy started to collect sales tax (or equivalent) in a specific state? The answer is on https://www.etsy.com/seller-handbook/article/321914904041

If you truly mean 1099 Employee payments, then Etsy Human Resources should be able to tell you.

I'm in NM as well. You need to still be filing quarterly with the state even though Etsy is remitting the sales tax. I'd advise getting an accountant that can help you because Etsy cannot help you deal with the state regarding reporting your sales and exemptions.
