I have 100% on shipping, reviews and messaging, and 0 cases. But it says ' As of 1 May, there’s room to improve your customer service and better meet buyers’ expectations.' Not sure what else I can do. I tried to contact support but the chat feature doesn't work, and it says on the star seller info page to ' If you think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, you can let us know in the Technical Issues forum.' So thats what I've done, do people from Etsy check the forum?
Thanks
Same here but my tracking is 97% and to qualify it says 95% and 100% on the other two so I’m so confused 🫤 xxx
@AllTrulyScrumptious: The statistics used for the May 1st badges and star are available on the 'Previous Review Period' tab of your Customer Service page. The current period statistics are for the June 1st badges and star.
Exactly same here - I'm sat on the live chat now waiting for an agent. This is month after month. Don't know what the problem is ....
I believe that message is just a generalized message to all sellers. They may suggest... if you price your items lower then you might make more sales, if you lower shipping cost then you might more more sales, ect. I do not think chat will help much other than to say the generalized ways to "improve your shop" or "meeting buyers' expectations".
Cute designs by the way.
If you would like suggestions on "how to improve your shop", you can ask for a shop critique here on the forums to give you some insight of what other sellers would suggest. Other than that, I don't think there is much else to do.
@FlumpyBooGifts: Support and the Virtual Assistant appear to be trained to send people to the forum as soon as 'Star Seller' is mentioned as they do not have the authority or ability to manually adjust Star Seller stats. That is why the Help Pages send people here. This is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy moderators do sometimes read and reply to posts).
Maybe etsy wa talking to itself...
I’ve had this issue from last month and I’ve been told a number of times by support there is a technical issue and it’s escalated but with no timeframe for resolution !! I’ve been over and back and have gotten nowhere. My chat has also been frozen for the last month and I’ve requested it to be fixed and it hasn’t . I’m afraid support aren’t really helping on this issue !
same!.. I spent so much time with chat last month for this issue and sure enough this month it is also incorrect I earned all three but it is only showing one badge but chat people just don't get it!
same!! This was already a problem last month but chat just doesn't get it
The Star Seller program has always been a bit confusing and, in many cases, frustrating to navigate. In my experience, despite what an outsourced support representative might say, it’s often unlikely that much can be done to change the outcome.
That said, it’s worth downloading your previous period's customer service stats to see if you can pinpoint where the issue may have occurred. Also consider whether any cases were opened and resolved through Etsy, as that can impact your status.
One thing to double-check is whether you might have opened a customer message from your spam folder. If that message was already a few days old when you opened it, Etsy may have flagged it as a late response—even if it wasn’t your fault.
If you’re consistently providing great customer service, I personally wouldn’t get too stressed over these alerts.
I also have three orders that I have completed and they don't show in the order history, so it shows "room to improve" in the on-time shipping and tracking. I have another shop where I have 95% reply rate and I haven't got the message badge, although the minimum is 95%.
I don't get it either, I have 100%, 100%, five star rating with zero cases and still don't have a star seller badge.
You have a 4 star and a 1 star for the period leading up to the May badge. That puts your average at 4.6. They will both drop off for the June badge - the current stats you are looking at.
@JSchulerArt: Are the stats you are quoting from the 'Previous Review Period' tab (the data used for the May 1st badges and stars)?
Same.
There is a disconnect between the stats shown and the stats on the downloadable page.
Like when I hover over the 100 percent messages display where in big letters it says 100, the pop up when I mouse over says I have 92 percent. I missed replying to a thank you note. It should say that on the top level. It isn't drawing the real info into the display.
I think when they were messing with code they broke something and moved on.
In my case, I didn't get star seller for May because I didn't have $300.00 in sales for the 3 months prior, Feb., Mar., Apr. If you don't qualify for this dollar amount, they don't show any of your achievements!!
