What have you all found to be the most effective for getting more sales or views?

Have any of you found something to be especially effective for getting new sales or views? Has a social media website been particularly effective?

I've used my Facebook to post new items I made on Etsy. It's gotten me a few views, but I've never sold anything. I would also like to know a better way.

I pretty much tried looking at certain things people haven't made before and things that are hot. Again, it's gotten me a handful of views, but no sales. (Of course, I'm not certain how well my type of art sells in general. It seems fairly well balanced.) I've read several articles about this sort of thing, and I've tried a few.

I would like to know your and everyone else's thoughts on the matter.

I've joined a few local networking groups through Facebook. It's gotten me more views, but no sales. Not sure what I'm doing wrong (if anything), but any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

I do think that promoting my store on instagram gave me some of my clients attention, 35 views in 3 days. Selling something seems to be really complex, I'm used to talk a lot with my clients before closing a deal, it just look like they don't want to message me to get more infos.
What do you think of my descriptions ?

I have posted in the forums, which has gotten some people to look at my page. I also have used Pinterest, but I have not found a way to get my pins to be noticed.

One thing that I have found is effective is to put comments on Etsys blog that have your shop link and a reason to check out your shop (that has gotten me a few views). Another thing is to follow people.
I'm still trying to master the whole social media thing, I think I've only gotten like 3 views on Facebook. So if someone's got tips on that?

I have gotten many views from paid advertising on etsy. It puts your items to the first few pages of search for a particular item. I get over 1000 impressions a day ( which is when someone tyes in their search for items fitting your descriptive words). Which has lead to 86 views of my shop in 2 weeks time but only 1 purchase. Frustrating but I love what I do and won't give up. Go check out my shop and I will do the same for you..favorite whatever you feel compelled to,I appreciate it all. Thanks in advance

It's been Instagram for me. My shop has gotten more views through them. I've only had one sale, but I'm still trying.

I opened my shop in February 2017. It was fun and exciting! I was happy and hopeful. But no sales yet. I am feeling a bit discouraged. But trying to look at the bright side...I have learned a lot and use my computer for more than sending emails...I am venturing out and trying to be part of social media and have enjoyed creating. I try to look beyond my no sales status and think about what I am learning and enjoy the things I make. I welcome feed back and advice

Before my shop opened, I did a giveaway on Facebook to get people excited. It required sharing the post, so it got me a lot of "likes" on FB. I've been open two days and I've gotten one sale. I'm doing another this week and I'm curious if I'll see a big increase in traffic.

The main thing that has gained interest for me so far is instagram. We do a contest every two weeks where people submit pet images, we pick images out of a hat and then draw them to put on instagram and then on the website for purchase. I have one purchase from that but am struggling getting views. Hope I'm not doing anything wrong 😀😄😀

I'm trying to do a contest on FB right now, but it's not going too great. Any ideas??? Hopefully it will take off soon.

I do like to try to answer any questions my custers have, and get back to them quickly. Also, putting our jewelry on a sale has gotten me a couple of sells.
