Re: Omaha Craft Shows

There is a new Ladies Night Out coming to the Quest center in late October. It is a bit pricey though.
I hear that the Holiday craft show at Westside Community Center, down by Rockbrook, is good.

Re: Omaha Craft Shows

There is also a boutique fair at Burke high school on November 10th. From what I have been told, it is a great one to be a part of and the pricing of booths is fair.

Re: Omaha Craft Shows

Just got my announcement email on the St. Wenceslaus Spring Bowtique on March 23. I'll copy it here for anyone interested.

This was not a terribly good show last year, blamed mostly on the weather (too nice - everyone was working on their yards). The year before it was the best show I've ever been a part of (still). Those are the only two years I've been there:

Dear Vendor – Exhibitor – Crafter - Friend:

It’s time again to sign up for the St. Wenceslaus Spring ‘Bowtique’ that will be held on Saturday March 23rd, 2013 from 9am-3:30pm.

Each space covers an area 7 ft. x 7 ft. and costs $50.00. With each space we can provide you a 5 ft. table and 2 chairs if needed. Electricity is also free, but with limited availability. We provide you 2 free drink tickets per space rented and our helpers to assist you in and out of the facility!

A concession stand will be available along with ample parking and of course, West Omaha shoppers!

This year, we have simplified our application process. You no longer need to mail in a registration form as this can be filled out online for immediate registration. Please see our new website: http://kofc10909.org/bowtique/ for event details and to fill out a registration form.

Spaces are assigned on a “first come-first serve” basis, and also based on your previous year’s participation.

In addition to the online application, we now accept 3 forms of payment (PayPal, a Credit Card, or you can mail us a check.) At the bottom of the online form you will select your payment option, click submit and then follow the directions on the page. A confirmation email will be sent to you within hours once your application has been received. Please let me know if you do not receive a confirmation email.

Table assignments and preferences will be allocated in the order payments are received so be sure to submit your payment immediately after filling out the online form.

Your actual table assignment will be emailed to you approximately 7 days prior to the event, presuming payment has been received. If you pay the $1.00 fee to have a paper copy of your table assignment mailed to you, it will also be sent approximately 7 days prior to the event.

All fees will be refunded for cancellations made prior to March 1st. If you must cancel after that date, please notify me and I will fill your space from our waiting list. Do not obtain your own substitute.

We are looking forward to your participation to help make this our best Spring ‘Bowtique’ yet.

Sincerely,

John Weitl

Re: Omaha Craft Shows

Is anyone else planning to be at St. Wenceslaus tomorrow (March 23)? If so, look me up - I'll be the one selling rosaries.

Two years ago this show was great. Last year it was pretty much a bust for most sellers - theory was that the weather was so nice people were working in their yards. That won't be a problem this year!!

We are ramping up and growing the Omaha Bead Bazzar show for 2014. We are adding more vendors, and doing jewelry classes in all levels. If you are interested in info to attend the show or be a potential vendor in the show, please email me to get more info at:

I'll be a vender at an upcoming show in Bellevue: http://www.offuttenlistedspousesclub.com/bazarr.html

I'm pretty sure they're still looking for a few more venders, if you're interested! :)

Re: Omaha Craft Shows

Know of any shows still looking for vendors between mid November and mid December? We were at St. Wenceslaus this past weekend and did pretty well. Had plans to do another one, but it fell through. We still have some product, and could be ready for another show as early as the weekend of November 9th.

Also, has anyone done any of the Market Day shows in Des Moines? We were recruited for the Black Friday show and are all signed up. Just wondering if anyone had been and have any insights. Thanks!
