Using Pinterest

I have used Pinterest and also wondered if and how other Etsy members use it. I have not gotten any sales from Pinterest as far as I know. I pin things I like and i have had others pin my paintings. It does give you a measure of exposure. One person pinned one of my paintings and added it to her Southwestern Decor idea board. So it showed others how it could be used in a decorating scheme. It was at a minimum a nice compliment and free advertising.

I use pinterest simply to create boards of things that I like. If people want to see more about me, they can look at my profile.

I rarely pin my own items but have had quite a bit of traffic from pinterest from others who have pinned

I just got into Pinterest last fall. I pin things onto boards about topics I like, such as nature images, horse images, ideas for around the home, etc. I like to pin some of my faves off Etsy onto my boards to share them, hoping to give them some more exposure.

I do have a board for examples of my own work from my Etsy shop, and I label it as such so no one feels misled. Don't think I've gotten much traffic from it yet, but I think with active use and time it could be helpful. I read an article about Pinterest and it sounded like quite a few people buy from finding things there. it's a lot of fun for me, not a chore, so I will keep being active there and hope it pays off in the future!

Anyone converted to a business account there? I was thinking about it then forgot until now because we were moving.

I do the same thing....pin items that I like for myself but I have a seperate board for my Etsy items.

I didn't know a business account was even possible...would it be worth it if we aren't getting much traffic from pinterest anyway? I'd need to find out what the advantages were I suppose.
