Business License

Hey all,
Question, what sort of license or permits do we need being in Arizona, specifically Phoenix? We started our shop off just as fun and then things have started to take off. I assumed since everything was online and we work out of our home we could just go on selling and such without any kind of permit or anything. But recently I decided to look into what may be need to be done as far as actually having a business license and it seems like we need one here.
Would love some help, there is a lot to the state website.
Thanks

Re: Business License

Things have changed since I first started. Before you just had to get your state license and a temp license per city you do business in. Az is still behind with the cities for getting a license per city for online business. So long as you only stick to online sales you'll be fine. But etsy does allow you to now collect taxes. Look up the AZ tax rate, you just need to collect that, NOT THE CITY RATE.

In Phx they changed it. No longer can you get a temporary permit but now it's a year long one. It costs $50. I had to get one to vend at Phoenix Comic Con this year. (Normally I got the temp one that was about $20 but the city changed)

The state one should only be about $20..? or $12? I was told it lasts for the duration of your business but I renewed this year since it does expire at the end of the year and ran into some hiccups. Mainly they issued me ANOTHER license. :/

Re: Business License

That's funny you ask, I just asked a friend of mine today, wjp is partners with 2 others, and I'm getting ready to sell at one of her vintage markets in November at the Peoria sports complex, she is going to forward me the info, and I can send it to you as well, if you would like.
