Beginning Seller

I just posted five of my own art works a couple days ago and I've been favorited like once or twice. I know this takes time but is there anything I can do to make my shop more interesting? Anything that you think I should change? Thank you :)

Re: Beginning Seller

Hi! Your paintings are wonderful!! You are very talented! I too am very new, so I have a lot to learn, but I thought I'd give you a suggestion. What about adding a shop banner to your shop? It would add to its already lovely appearance. Also, maybe talking about how you will ship and package your artwork in your policies would help put people at ease. Have you found an established etsy seller who is selling items similar to yours? Once you do that, you can look at their shop to get a good idea of how to write up your policies and item descriptions (and all sorts of other ideas, like marketing). Good luck! I am sure you will do great!

Re: Beginning Seller

Hello and welcome to Etsy! You are off to a great start and have some wonderful pieces, but of course it takes time to get everything rolling along! My first suggestion is try to get your shop filled up a little more, the more items you have the more people will find you! Also, I would try to include more info in your descriptions including dimensions and sharing a bit more to draw the customer in, and let them know why they have to have your item!!! Read all you can about Etsy - the seller handbook, forums, google search for tips, and be an active participant in the teams you join. It really helps! Wishing you much success! Kristen

Re: Beginning Seller

If you haven't done so already, you will want to identify yourself more with a banner for your shop. Your "About Me" page should include more info about yourself and how you came to doing what you do and how you came to Etsy. When you connect with potential buyers, they will be more apt to purchase. Buyers want to trust in who they are buying from. Remember you are competing with other sellers and any buyer's local stores. the most obvious thing is to offer more inventory. Understanding you are just starting and not a machine, you must also take into account that the more you offer, the more you will be able to sell.

Re: Beginning Seller

Hello! I am also new to Etsy and new to this group. Does having more inventory help get new people on your shop? Also is it worth "renewing" listings every day or every couple of days?

Your paintings are beautiful by the way!

Re: Beginning Seller

Having more inventory definitely helps. Imagine a toy store selling only a dozen types of toys. The best stores have variations of what they sell.

Re: Beginning Seller

Hello, great shop! Maybe add more inventory, perhaps make some quality prints of your artwork and offer in smaller sizes to add to your inventory.
