2nd Friday Night Out

Tonight I will hosting a booth at Mesa's 2nd Friday Night Out event. If it's anything like First Friday in Phoenix, it should be a lot of fun. If any of you guys find yourselves in the area come by and say hello.

What kind of crowds are they expecting these days for 2nd Fridays? Its been at least three years since I've been to a 2nd Friday event simply because there weren't that many vendors or patrons around.

I've done quite a few of the Mesa 2nd Fridays. It's been hit or miss for us. Last month was great because people were out walking their dogs. Sometimes though you're lucky to get back gas money.

Second Friday was pretty slow. I live in Avondale so I did not make my gas money back, as a matter of fact I didn't make any money. I had a few people ask me about men's jewelry though. There wasn't really a crowed so there wasn't a lot of people. I probably won't do it again. Now First Friday in Phoenix I will definitely be doing that one again, but I'll wait until it cools down some. Hope this was helpful and hope to see you guys at one of these events. If anyone will be doing a fair or know of one that would be fun let me know. Maybe I'll see some of you guys out there.

You might consider the Gilbert Art Walk which restarts in the fall. Also the Sunnyslope show in October. Both have been very affordable in the past, and decent traffic for us.

That was helpful! I think most of the time we take a gamble at these shows, hoping we would make money and fail. I have learned how not to get disappointed when I don't make money. I get a lot of information and find other shows or how to improve on my set up . i always learn something I never knew before.
