Here are my first goals for October. (At least I got the year right this month!!!!)
1. Knit or crochet 1 or 2 fashion doll dresses or outfits 2. Sew the miniature granny squares together to make a doll bedspread 3. Knit a pair of fingerless gloves
Ohhhh, I love granny square blankets (as you can probably tell!). Looking forward to seeing that, and your fingerless gloves. Have been contemplating making wrist warmers this fall, but am too busy (or lazy!) to learn a new thing right now.
Hi everyone.....I'm baaaackkk!!!! My computer went down and had to go to the shop. PoppyFandango the doll bedspread will either be the size for an 18 inch doll or an 11 1/2 inch fashion doll.....or one of each!! Emma.....with the exquisite work you do, fingerless wrist warmers would be simple for you!!!
Ugh, computer problems are so frustrating -- glad it's fixed!
Funny, but knitting in the round on double-pointed needles is so super intimidating that I try to do it as little as possible! Intricate lace, sure, but socks?!? No way. :)
3 of 4 goals met. Great job!! Have you thought about doing American Girl Doll cloths and accessories? They are very popular and expensive and moms/kids will spend lots of money for these items. The doll is 18 inches. At least use the American Girl Doll as a tag for any item you have for 18 inch doll. The granny square bedspread would be a great idea.
Yes, Nikki, I am thinking of getting an 18 inch doll to start making clothes for them. I don't think I can use the American Girl Doll tag though. I have enough granny squares made to make a 11 1/2 inch size doll and an 18 inch doll bedspread. I am also trying to make beds to use as props for them. Don't know how that is going to come out LOL.
