Posting parcels from Switzerland to the rest of the world.

Hey,

I am moving to the Swiss-French border, and want to know the cheapest (and best) way to send parcels to the rest of the world. My packing boxes are
12 inches x 9 inches x 2 inches.

I've looked at prices and they seem very expensive. HOWEVER I noticed that a maxi letter:
Maxi letter L + W + H = max. 90 cm, no dimension to exceed 60 cm
Roll: L + 2 x diameter = max. 104 cm, L = max. 90 cm
Up to 500 g 9.00 11.00

is quite cheap to send abroad.... would my parcels count as a maxi letter?
