I want to welcome everyone who enrolled in this month of Etsy School! Can everyone please jump in and say hello?!
I'm Frederica and I'm the of this team. I am addicted to beads and have therefore ended up making and selling handmade jewellery and finding Etsy!. One of my favorite things to do is to introducing people to each other by starting a silly survey. I feel it's a great way to start making real connections and jumpstart team discussion activity. I hope you'll try it out with me as STEP 3!

Step 6. Get started! Your partner guide should have a to do list. useful information on the week’s theme, practical exercises to do with your partner to put things into practice.

Here is the structure for the programme:

• Week 1: Meeting and planning, introduction to SEO, shop statistics analysis
• Week 2: Researching keywords and editing shop to improve rankings
• Week 3: Popularity and authority: the importance of links to listings
• Week 4: The world of sponsored searches

I will post a thread all about week 1 shortly.

As requested - a little about me: I'm Mark, a photographer and just getting started selling my photos. I don't really have an identified 'style' yet, but the majority of the images that people seem to like are fantasy-based, fairy tale-inspired or otherwise slightly 'other-worldly'.

I'm Leanda and have just set up my second Etsy store selling jewellery. My background is in graphic design; my first store sold prints and opened in 2010 right around the time my little boy was born. It was a good way to channel my creativity after leaving work. It initially did OK, but I had more time to devote to social networking then. It's tapered off a lot in the past couple of years due to a move overseas and child-rearing becoming more demanding. As my son will start school this year I'm desperate to kickstart my little home business again. I started making jewellery last year and really enjoyed it so I decided to try my hand at selling it. SEO is still a bit of a mystery to me which is why I'm here!

I'm a designer, artist and avid vintage collector have been collecting for a long long time, in particular vintage packaging (I have a collection of over 700 packs, mostly tins! I'm slowly adding them to my Pinterest board!

I'm Jill and I make quilled handmade greetings which are different to anything available in shops. I set my Etsy shop up in 2009 and it has gone from strength to strength. I work 3 days a week as a special needs teacher so have to fit my little Etsy business in around that. I'm currently trying to set up a second shop selling non-quilled cards.

Better late than never - apologies for the late reply but I was away over the long weekend and I'm just catching up on all the messages.

My name is Suzanne (also, this is probably going to get confusing!) and I design and produce the pictures for Outshine Art. I would describe the pictures as cut-out artwork and I sell my pictures through facebook, my website and I've recently launched my Etsy shop. I'm currently taking a career break to look after my children, 1 and 2, and hoping that my business will be successful enough that I won't need to return to work in London!
