Thanks for the invitation.
I'm Bond, I reside, work and have a brick and mortar shop in the original sin city, New Orleans. I'm a certified antiques appraiser who specializes in glass, breweriana, tobacciana, numismatics, lp's and 45's, dinnerware and kitchenware to name a few. I do not specialize in jewelry nor in fine art or furniture, so while I can do the research they are not my most knowledgeable areas.
I went to school for antique appraisals and go to school as a history major with an eventual goal of being a professor. I recently became a grandmother (mimi) 3 months ago to the most beautiful boy in the world.
I'm not much of collector, which makes me a perfect match for my collecting partner and the perfect appraiser mentality as I rarely have any emotional connection to the items he loves. :-) I do have a hearty typewriter collection, most of what you see for sale in my shop that is a typewriter is from my own personal collection which has grown far too large. I am fascinated by glass, especially depression glass.
When I'm not working my shop, traveling the city and country looking for items, I am a burlesque dancer, which I absolutely love and love that burlesque is making a comeback like mid-century modern is!
Good to meet you all.
