I'm Leaving Etsy and using SupaDupa instead

I'm preparing to leave Etsy at the end of the year. They gave incomplete and contradictory answers to the question of whether fabric designers have to apply for "manufacturing" permission if we have someone else print our fabrics, and they completely ignored my question of "why us" while 3 other types of printing are exempt entirely.

Luckily, I don't need Etsy! My sales may dip a bit for a while, but most of my business on Etsy comes in from the web, where I am easily found.

I have a free-for-life, unlimited SupaDupa shop that is integrated into my own domain, and which is actually (now that they have improved the user interface and options) much more flexible and customizable than an Etsy shop. In fact, it looks so professional that I may have to retake my photos to try to match the quality--urgh!

Life just keeps wiggling and running off in new directions...

Good luck, Jane! I hope to have my supa site doing better than Etsy by the end of the year. I think all of these changes with Etsy are ridiculous and the fact that they can't even give straight answers is hilarious.

Thanks! I do like the improvements Supa has made since I stopped using mine a year ago. There were some details on the template that worked best for me that really clashed with my style, and I've now been able to modify them to blend better.

So happy that you have the free shop to fall back to ! I wish I'd been quick to get one of these. I was moving at the time I think and didn't think to do it :(
