Anyone having problems with coupon codes and paypal not adding up to the same?

This is a facebook message that I received from a fan who won a $25 gift certificate to my SD site.

I just had a quick question concerning the check-out process. When I'm on the check-out page, the total is show as it should be (with my discount), but when I click to pay with Paypal and get to the Paypal website, the total changes back to showing the full amount and the discount disappears, so my order looks as followed:

On the Kawaii Buddies site-
Goods Total:$25.00
Coupon Discount:-$25.00
Shipping to Virginia, UNITED STATES: $5.50
Tax:$0.00
Total:$5.50

On the Paypal site-
Animal Beanie Animal Hat Bunny Ear Hat Blue and White Kawaii
Item price: $25.00
Quantity: 1
Item total $25.00
Shipping and handling: $5.50
Total $30.50 USD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I'm running a coupon for free shipping right now and it seems to be working fine. I just tested it by going through the whole ordering process and my item total was fine on the PP payment screen.

I have the very same problem. Sent email to Supadupa admin half an hour ago. Hope I can get the answer very soon when it's Monday.

This is the response I received from Supadupa team:

"My sincerest apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this. We have been looking into why this may be happening and so far after all our checks, it appears this is an issue on the PayPal side where by they are not accepting/allowing the "0.00" goods value even though there is a chargeable shipping cost in the data we have sent to them.

We have already contacted PayPal's technical support department to advice how why this is being overridden and to recommend any other applicable methods be can use to ensure the values are accepted in future. Once we hear back, we will make the necessary changes and let you know when this is fixed.

kindly bear with us whilst we work with PayPal to reach a swift resolution.

So basically, I don't think we can offer a coupon with free value on an item just so the client can pay shipping alone. Really hope Supadupa team will work on this issue ASAP since coupons are great marketing tools and they shouldn't be so limited to use.
