What got you into selling your items on Etsy? How did it all start?

Hi to all my talented Etsians!

All my jewelry is handmade by me.
I like being eclectic. So you will see lots of different styles in my shop.
A lot of my items lend themselves to bridal jewelry, at least that's what my friends tell me. So I am currently focusing more on bridal.

Hey y'all! I'm Sarah and I'm a calligrapher and artist. In my shop I sell original hand lettered and calligraphy pieces! :) I absolutely love it. I'm still fairly new (I actually started selling in my shop June 21, 2015) but I love it!!! :) So glad to be a part of the group.

Hello. I am Christine Miceli. I am retired and enjoy the time to be creative with different art mediums. I love to make scented candles. I have a variety of fragrances and are always adding new ones. I have seasonal and holiday candles. I will customize candles for any occasion. The votive candles are great to personalize for thank you gifts for your guests. I would love any advice someone may have to boost sales and traffic to my Etsy store.

I make knitted and crocheted items. I started knitting 10 years ago, crocheting 5 years ago and I did it to keep myself entertained! My other half saw all the things I was making and said why not try selling them. Only 1 sale so far but it's still a hobby for me. I have a friend who has an Etsy shop and she talked me into joining. Since then, I am expanding my crochet horizons and venturing into the creative craft world.

Hello, my name is Bridgette. My mom Victoria and I are a team of crafters. Our mutual love of music, art and cinema inspired us to merge our talents together and share our handmade creations with all of you. Our creative journey started in San Francisco where my mother was born, she began designing cool clothing as a teenager. As a youth of the 1960's she also found solace in the experimental sounds of the time and expressed her creativity through the art of collage. I was born in Los Angeles and as a descendent of the youth movement, I naturally gravitated towards the music and pop culture of my mothers generation. As a child I began drawing and painting which has led me to evolve into a freelance artist. Art is more to me than amusement for the eyes, It's a way of life.

Hello everyone,

My name is Cole. My shop is ColeTaylorDesigns. I make leather and copper jewelry. I have always been able to find a way to make something out things other people wouldn't give a second look. One morning I woke up and said to my spouse, " I think I want to start making jewelry". The next day, she suprised me and brought home a box of supplies ( thank you sweety). I made a couple of bracelets and finally got the courage to post them to my shop. I am completely self-taught, so I never expected anything to come of it, but before I knew it , someone purchased one of my bracelets. I thought it must have been a mistake at first, but it wasn't. So I built a few more and posted them and they sold as well. I am extremely grateful to be able to find a place like Etsy, where I can connect with people around the world that like and appreciate my work.

Hello there everybody,

My name is Heather Monet, and I am the owner/operator TexasGrassroots vintage Etsy shop. I officially opened the shop doors March 25th, 2015, but it was not until May that I truly knew where I wanted to go with the shop. I started formulating how I would take product photos, and as soon as I had my formula, I took photos like a mad-woman.

Using my iPhone 6 camera seemed to be the simplest and most efficient method, and I'll say the photo quality is great, but I hate how the photos do not fill up all space when viewing in a computer browser.

At this moment, after having my vintage shop officially running for 4 months now, I have made 11 online sales. I've run into some difficulty with predicting shipping costs, and one of my packages was recently undeliverable to the address given, so I am waiting upon it's arrival back to me, so that I can send it out to California again. I've been wiser in cutting my own shipping costs, and ensuring nobody is overcharged for any product or shipping fees.

I strive to maintain a competitive edge, matching prices, adjusting, and offering customers loyalty discounts. I want to increase the ratio of buyers who leave a shop review, thus far it's only been a measly 20% of buyers leaving a review, gladly they've all been a positive 5 stars.


I think that's all I've got for now, time to go do some university homework. ;S
