Personalizing Pottery

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to personalize pottery? I use acrylic pens but I know there’s a better way. Thank you for your help and advice!

Hi Ray;   Do you have a potters mark?  It is like an initial.  Make the mark on the piece in a place that is in an quiet area of the piece.

I have a friend who made a set of 3d printed letter stamps. Boom - I can just press the letters (with or without an underglaze) into wet thrown clay. Bet you could pick up letter stamps elsewhere!
