I liked to use natural light, as electric lights always made shadows and made everything seem yellow. But they came out so dark, like you say. The light box is useful in that it diffuses the electric lights, so they don't make shadows. And it's less yellow. It cost 25 pounds, which at the moment is 40 dollars. It had the lights included, too.
