I have read on other teams that it is very helpful to open all the items and keep them open for 15 secs or longer so it registers with the search engine that someone is actually shopping and viewing.
Also a quick tip for closing and opening. Open all the items in tabs by using the ctrl or command key and clicking on the item. Then you will have all the windows ope with a tab for each. Then when you get ready to close them out, instead of going to the x each time, use the same ctrl or command key and tap the "W" key and you will close out each individually and quickly.
Makes it all go quite fast. Remember to keep the windows open for at least 15 seconds.
