How do you make your stickers?

Hey guys! Currently I've started making stickers - and am at the basic point of printing onto a sheet of sticker paper and cutting out each individual shape.

Any classier ideas? Any great places to print them for you? Thanks!

I also use a vinyl cutter (plotter). Mine can cut up to 64 inch wide material.

Re: How do you make your stickers?

I just bought a sticker making machine. It's hand cranked. Haven't had time to use it but I'm SUPER excited :)

Re: How do you make your stickers?

I just bought a Silhouette Portrait which is an electronic paper cutter. Saves me TONS of time as I don't have to hand cut, easy to use, and I can easily cut my stickers out in shapes rather than simple circles or squares. They all turn out the same so they look more professional than the ones I was attempting to hand cut!

Re: How do you make your stickers?

I use a vinyl cutter that I got from uscutter.com, it's called the laser point2, got it refurbished so it was cheap-ish :)

Re: How do you make your stickers?

Want I have been researching is where to find the images to use to make sure they are copyrighted. Do you all make the images from scratch?
If so, I better look for lessons!

Re: How do you make your stickers?

I tried a silhouette portrait but found it hard to use. I ended up going with the silhouette cameo, which is great. I have no idea why one is better for me than the other. They use the same software. The cameo gives me cleaner cuts.

Re: How do you make your stickers?

The Silhouette Cameo (and possibly others) uses registration marks on the paper to detect where to cut, however I don't want those showing on the page when I ship them to customers. Any advice on this?

Re: How do you make your stickers?

Sydneelyn - I would suggest adding a cut line in your Silhouette Studio File to simply cut out a smaller sheet minus the registration marks. The Silhouette Print & Cut feature won't cut past the registration marks anyway. Or you can go old school and use a paper trimmer!

Kinkos has great copy machines that are do-it-yourself, for very reasonable. You can load the sticker paper into the machine.
Store like Michaels and Hobby Lobby have die cutters that connect to your computer, but they go for around $300.
