Die Cut Stickers

I have seen some stickers sold here on Etsy that have been die cut and the printing goes all the way to the edge of the sticker. I have been searching for companies that do this, and they are all way too expensive to be able to make a profit. I can't figure out how these people are doing it. Is there an affordable printer/cutter to do this from home? Or does anyone know of a company that does them for cheap?

Re: Die Cut Stickers

Buying and reselling isn't going to work (not profitable). The only way is to buy / lease your own printer/cutter and that can be very expensive. For example a descent HP printer (not the cutter) would cost you from $10,000 USD and up.
The cutter also needs to be able to read register marks in order to cut the decals. A cutter like that would be $3,500 USD and up!

I cut all my stickers out by hand and as much as i enjoy it i cant find enough time!

Ive been looking at die cutters but im not sure about how they work! Can you cut custom shapes with them?

Any advice would be much appreciated :) thanks

Re: Die Cut Stickers

We use SKA-1350(H) with contour cutting.

I recommend this model, no issues during 4 years of using, cheap price ~1k$!

Re: Die Cut Stickers

All serious sticker people we know of (for personal planners) use a wide range of printers both laser and inkjet and use a die cutter such as Sillhouette or Cricut. Those cutters are cheap in price/high in quality but cannot mass produce in a way that would allow you to hit "go" and let it run for hours without tending to it.

Re: Die Cut Stickers

To print goes all the way to the edge you need to make a special item for print. Cut line is need to be placed in or out of the side of print. You need to add to you print extra lenght border for at list 0,5mm and set cut line directly to origin boarders of print. Why at least 0,5mm extra - in case that plotter will cut with +\- 0,25 offset. To make the sticker cut out from paper you need to make a special line fo perf cut contour. All answers you need you can find in company that produce vinyl cutters. As for us we use plotter\cutter Roland vs-640i range 1,6m, prints first, then cut. We used for a little time perf cut contours for our stickers but it`s killing blades, so we decided to cut them by special cut box with special blades depends on contour for a stickers we produce constantly not custom. As a fellow in our team we can sometimes print and cut your custom stickers for little money. If needed let us know))
