To start, do not only post your products, but other things as well. Short blurbs about what you're working on, where you're working etc. What helped me a lot was following others - and interact with them, react to what they say. People like to follow someone who has to say something rather than a product-spewer ;-) I don't know which one you are right now, but the way you describe it you sond like the latter.
