I am a pen maniac. I place them in my drawer like a tray of fine china. And really, it's not about color, gel, ink, as it is about the fit and feel in my hand. Because of my chronic pain in my hands and my RA, I love a very heavy, balanced pen. I have a couple of fountain pens too and that scratchy sound of tip against paper is so soothing to the ear! And I just ordered my first "dip" pen during the holidays and what fun! They are like the fountains but they're made of glass and at the tip is a spiral of rings and the ink flows down after you dip it in the ink. So you need to re-dip after each line or group of words, depending on the size of your writing. I am definitely going to get another. And of course, there's the Sharpie, which I can never have too many of because, well, they're SHARPIES!
Although I prefer to write in pencil (with a good eraser), I love pens too. I just bought myself four Uni-Ball Rollers- they were buy two, get two free at Walgreens. I also got a huge, multicolored bag of Sharpies from the thrift store. Probably at least 50 of them for a $1.50. Seven or eight were half-dried out, but still an awesome deal!
I actually love my Prismacolor colored pencils best of all. I have the big set, I think 120 of them. It was my birthday gift to myself a few years ago. I was still using the Prismacolors my mom had bought me when I was ten years old!
Im so excited because I have been building on Etsy for years - selling all kinds of different stuff, all for the purpose of finding my niche.
After 10 months of intensive metaphysical training, I have decided to have a niche shop in Tarot. I am also updating my website to offer Live Tarot Reading Services, over the phone or FaceTime. Im so happy. Im ready to write articles on the subject, and show off just how much I've learned in the past 10 months (and 10 years before that).
Im still staying on the team of course, just because Im not selling mail art supplies anymore, doesn't mean I don't LOVE mail art. I guess I'm just going to have to be more of a Mail Art Consumer ;)
I tried something like 8 times to pin my last piece of #mayflowers mail. It kept pinning a blank box. Grrr. I finally shrunk the picture before pinning it, and lo and behold, it worked. So here it is! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/431782683006126442/
Hi team, why so quiet lately? Maybe you all are as busy as I am!
I start training for a "real" job next week. Haven't decided if I should put my Etsy shop on vacation, deactivate the most time-consuming listings, or just leave it fully open and stay up later in the evening to fill and ship orders. I really need the small income the shop brings in, otherwise I wouldn't be taking on another job. Sigh... Decisions.
